CHAPTER HISTORY

       In the Fall of 2008, fourteen ambitious, dedicated, determined young women: Priscilla Cen, Melissa Chen, Vivian Cheng, Nicole Gay, Joyce Guo, Esther Jung, Victoria Lee, Wendy Leung, Yue Li, Judy Nie, Suzanne, Stephanie Pimentel, Connie Tam, and Josephine Zhu came together to make a difference in their school. Their primary goal was to give the women at City University of New York Bernard M. Baruch the opportunity to come together and relish in sisterhood and success. This inspired the founding sisters to create The Essence of an Aspiring Sisterhood (T.E.A.S.).
was granted a bid to become a new member class of alpha Kappa Delta Phi. This allowed them to strengthen their abilities by learning more about their sorority and themselves. Finally, on December 5, 2009, they stood as one and proudly became the fourteen founding sisters of the 46th chapter of alpha Kappa Delta Phi Baruch Charter Class. They hoped by establishing a strong foundation, generations after them will continue to embrace the sisterhood on which it was once founded on.

       These ladies wanted to leave Baruch knowing that they did something that they could be proud of, by contributing to Baruch and stretching beyond the vertical campus. T.E.A.S. wanted to make theirs, as well as the next generation of young women's college experience memorable. Their purpose in establishing a sorority was to break the stereotypical image of greek life as well a to emphasize genuine love and friendship. 

       Together, they overcame some of the most challenging obstacles. They believed that with the support of each other, they

could accomplish anything and if given the opportunity to bring a colony of alpha Kappa Delta Phi to Baruch, they would know nothing was impossible.
